Unfortunately the rest of the day (and most of last night) was anything but giggling, so both Meh and Zachary are taking a nap at the moment. Well, he's occasionally still opening his eyes and looking around - last I checked, he was somewhere between dozing and reading the shockingly poorly worded warnings printed on the inside of the pack-n-play. (Examples: wild overuse of colons, horrendously inconsistent capitalization, terrible run-on sentences, and outright typos like "If you are without and owner's manual...".) It always boggles my mind how many companies will go ahead and pay to fabricate millions of units without running a basic spell check on their printing. Granted, in some cases (and likely the pack-n-play is one of them), they're actually just missing a native English speaker to begin with - reminds me of the often humorously translated English seen in Japan, or the Chinese efforts to clean up their English signage before the Olympics.Anyway, the great challenge while anyone is sleeping in this house is trying to get other individuals to avoid disrupting the precious nap: keeping Zachary snoozing (or quiet and happy) while Meh sleeps, encouraging Meh to sleep when Zachary sleeps, and keeping the whining, barking, and pawing Korby away from both of them in either scenario. Today we've managed to juggle it so I think Meh and Zachary are hopefully getting some well-deserved rest, while Korby is distracted by repeated trips out into the yard, pats, dinner, and a nice long walk. Hopefully this will help give mommy and son a little respite from the long and tiring previous night.
