Babies, babies, everywhere!

A close friend due at around the same time as us just had her baby today - mazel tov! Friends of ours had twins a week and a half ago - mazel tov! Another pair of friends had a baby just over a month ago, and yet another 6 weeks ago. Yup, it must be open season for babies.

The National Center for Health Statistics keeps a pretty impressive list of birth-related stats, but for those wondering which months are the most popular:
For 1998, the top three months were July, August and September, in that order. Although the numbers can vary slightly year-to-year, it is almost always summer and fall months that have the highest birthrates.

And that's one to grow on. Looks like we'll be, like, *so* part of the statistical norm.
