Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Ziggy's new room
Last night I finally completed most of the paint touchups on the soon-to-be-baby's room. (Dig my spiffy Xbox-branded painting shoes?) Note how the color kind of sort of matches our blog title bar? It's a bit closer in normal sunlight. This picture also features the massive new blinds we installed for the baby room windows -- Home Depot had to drag over one of those giant ladder-on-wheels things to pull down our blinds, the largest size they stock. Is that window really so huge?

Now all that's left is the scary ceiling, which was peeling when the painters tape came off. I think I'm more paranoid about painting directly overhead, since gloops will be coming down right onto everything (tarp, floor, my head, etc.) But a ladder and lots of blue tape later, I should hopefully be able to cover it all up in the next few days.

This morning was our now-weekly doctor's appointment. We of course got to hear Ziggy, thankfully chugging along at a steady one hundred twenty-something beats per minute. Also talked with our doctor about what happens if we pass the due date (which again, many pregnancies do). +1 week we can start thinking about intervention options, and +2 weeks we would more actively be in that realm. Again, it's all speculation at this point (like a moose fighting a bear? Obscure shoutout to a select few readers...), but with not much else to do besides wait, still good to know the potential roadmap.

One reader predicted today would be the big day - sorry it didn't pan out, but please do enjoy some of our fabulous parting gifts. Should we start a pool or something?
