If you want something done right...

Making musicGumming music

Several months ago, Meh was thrilled to discover that Gymboree had a new line of cupcake themed baby outfits -- and then moderately devastated when she learned they were only girl ones. Despite protestations to store clerks, it couldn't be helped -- and very few of them were even close to gender-neutral enough to consider getting for Zachary.

Zip forward several months, and cute cupcake onesies surfaced on her favorite cupcake blog. (Incidentally, I don't recommend looking at that blog on an empty stomach. Or even if you haven't already got a seriously good dessert sitting right in front of you.) But at a price of $32 not including tax or shipping, Meh refused, and was convinced she could do one just as well herself. Meh-wearWell, let me tell you - she bought white onesies, some cool fabrics, fabric paint, and strange iron-on-sticky material, made four onesies (cupcakes and an elephant, which Zachary wore today) last night, and then a cute owl one this evening, and they are fabulous! Zachary sported one this morning, and he really liked brushing his hands over the fabric and paint textures. Seriously, if this whole librarian thing doesn't pan out, she should totally go into business and put these up for sale on etsy.
